Wonderful Raises $100M Series A Just 10 Months In

Israeli enterprise AI start-up Wonderful has amassed a $100 million Series A funding round — a mere 10 months after it was founded.

The Tel Aviv-based company came out of stealth in July with a seed round of $34 million, and even in an AI market where sizable VC deals have become the norm, its rise is noteworthy.

The Series A was led by Index Ventures and featured participation from Insight Partners and IVP, as well as existing investors Bessemer and Vine Ventures.

Wonderful is a platform that lets enterprises manage AI agents serving customers across voice, chat and email with what the start-up claims to be best-in-class local deployment.

The latter point is arguably the most significant, with Wonderful saying the agents are tailored to “every market and every language,” adhering to the local language, cultural norms and regulatory environment, as well as being trained for the individual customer’s own unique use cases.

In essence, as many AI companies focus on English-speaking markets, Wonderful’s strategy of delivering for customers in languages other than English has seen it carve out a potentially winning niche.

As Bar Winkler, co-founder and CEO, told Index Ventures earlier this year: “We looked at the current state of AI, and found it unbearable that most of the world will have to wait for years for something that is deliverable today.”

The agents are fully integrated into internal systems and are claimed to be handling “tens of thousands” of complex interactions every day, including resolving billing disputes, diagnosing issues and scheduling appointments. Resolution rates are said to be at 80%.

Since the previous round of funding, Wonderful’s global outlook has seen it expand into Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Greece, Poland, Romania, the Baltics, the Adriatics and the United Arab Emirates, and there are plans to launch in Germany, Austria, Scandinavia and Portugal by the end of the year, with the Asia Pacific region earmarked for 2026.

Wonderful is also looking beyond customer support, too, eyeing employee training, regulatory compliance, sales enablement and onboarding as potential areas for growth.

Hannah Seal, a partner at Index Ventures, explained her company’s involvement, stating in a press release: “They’re proving that enterprises don’t just want AI agents; they want ones that work in every market, in every language.”
